Wishing You a Very Happy Birthday w/RRR

Whenever I'm on the hunt for the perfect sentiment for my cards, I enjoy looking to Bonnie Garby Designs.  They carry so many great sentiments that you're sure to find the right wording for your next card.  You'll LOVE all the wonderful digital stamps and images you find at Bonnie Garby Designs.  Once those cards start coming together (and even during the process), you'll also find the perfect Adhesives, Ribbons and goodies to adorn those cards with the perfect colors, widths and textures of most every type of spooled trim you can imagine when you shop at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  This Birthday card is a great combination of both of these great companies.
I used basic white cardstock and a basic robin's egg cardstock.  I ran the robin's egg cardstock through the Sizzix using the Tim Holtz Doily Embossing Folder.  The wonderful texture that this particular embossing folder gives is truly lovely.  I used a Crimped Frame Die to cut the sentiment which can be found in the Birthday Greeting 2 Stamp Set from Bonnie Garby Designs.  What a perfect matching.
The pretty floral image is found in the Floral Cluster Spring Pansies Stamp Set.  I painted the image with oxide inks and cut the floral image and the sprigs using the coordinating Floral Cluster & Sprigs Dies.  Everything is attached using Scor-Tape to hold it all securely in place.  The pretty bow I added was tied with Robin's Egg Wrinkle Ribbon and was topped with Black Baker's Twine, some Pink Double Head Stamens and a pretty Ivory Open Rose.
In case you haven't the BIG NEWS yet, Really Reasonable Ribbon is going out of business.  The Owner, and my dear friend; Bonnie, has the most adorable new grandson that she wants to spend her time loving on and spoiling.  Who can blame her for wanting to retire?  She's earned it.  However, there's still a lot of great SHOPPING waiting for you at DISCOUNTED prices.  Time to stock up, right?  May I suggest stocking up on things like AdhesivesBaker's TwineMulberry Flowers and, of course, lots of fabulous RIBBONS.  We're still OPEN and here to help you.  Please stop by again soon.  We love having you visit us.
Be happy, be blessed, be kind and BUY RIBBONS!

Blessings,
Karen

Winter Wishes w/Really Reasonable Ribbon

What are your Winter Wishes?  Today I'm sharing a card that I created for Really Reasonable Ribbon that showcases a fabulous NEW stamp set as well as some of MY Winter Wishes.  To be perfectly honest with you, my "Winter Wishes" are much the same as my general year-round wishes.  While I love getting new crafty items, spending time with family, and enjoying the Holidays; my priorities and wishes will always remain centered around my relationship with my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
I used a cream cardstock base and I layered it with several fun patterned papers from the Bundled Up collection by Crate Paper.  I cut the Winter Wishes tag and added some FABULOUS Baker's Twine at the top including Solid Red Baker's Twine, Solid Teal Bakers Twine and Solid Ivory Baker's Twine.  Those of you who know me best are aware that I LOVE Baker's Twine for it's multi-purpose usefulness and the fact that it comes in many beautiful colors and costs just ten cents ($0.10) per yard.
On the Crate Paper tag, I stamped some of my "Winter Wishes" using a FUN NEW stamp set from Creative Worship called Wordfetti.  I stamped the various words/phrases in different colors of ink.  I used lots of Scor-Tape Adhesive to secure all my papers securely in place.  This is an awesome Adhesive, and it comes it various widths to accommodate various projects.  I also added a length of 1/2" Robin's Egg Wrinkle Ribbon to my card, and I topped that with another length of Solid Red Baker's Twine and a sweet 2-Tone Light Turquoise Open Rose.
Thanks so much for visiting me today.  It's always a treat to have you stop by and say hello.  I appreciate your comments, questions, and of course, your support of Really Reasonable Ribbon - the best ribbon shop out there (in my humble opinion).  Happy crafting, everyone!

Blessings,
Karen

Happy Birthday w/Really Reasonable Ribbon

It's always FUN to make and send a Birthday card to someone special.  I love using sentiments from Bonnie Garby Designs along with trims and adornments from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  This sweet little card combines both perfectly into this easy little Birthday card for someone important in my life who deserves a sweet card.
I used black cardstock and some older Doodlebug patterned papers to create my card base.  I pieced together the background with plaids/ginghams and found some coordinating trims at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  The trims I added across my card, at top right, and on the bow include the lovely Black & White Bold Gingham Ribbon, and Solid Deep Pink Baker's Twine.
The sweet birthday sentiment I used is from Bonnie Garby Designs, and can be found in the Birthday Greetings 3 Stamp Set.  The crisp images are always eye-catching, even when I rub oxide inks over them.  I also used an older stamp set to add the additional arrow.  I used Scor-Tape to attach most everything, and I also added some Faux Pearl Accents.
Thanks so much for visiting me today.  It's always great to hear your thoughts about what I made.  It's also great to hear what FUN things you've been doing with ribbons lately.  Really Reasonable Ribbon has so much to offer....from ribbons, trims and laces to adhesives, flowers and more.  Please visit again soon and happy crafting, y'all.

Blessings,
Karen

The Stockings Were Hung w/RRR

I haven't really started hanging the stockings with care just yet.  However, I do have a really nice head start on my Christmas shopping and card-making.  As always, Really Reasonable Ribbon helps me find the perfect ribbons and trims for every card and project I make as Christmas approaches and all year round.  You're always sure to find the perfect ribbons and trims at Really Reasonable Ribbon along with Adhesives, Mulberry Flowers and SO much more.
This card started with basic black cardstock that I layered with an Echo Park patterned paper from my stash.  I cut the patterned paper and the sentiment using the Crimped Edge Dies from The Greetery.  This lovely sentiment is found in the Christmas Sentiments Bundle from Bonnie Garby Designs.  I just LOVE the wonderful images and sentiments from Bonnie Garby Designs because there's a perfect fit for every occasion.
I ran a length of Red & White Bold Gingham Ribbon and a length of Moss Green & Ivory Gingham Ribbon across my card underneath the sentiment.  I tied my sweet bow using the Moss Green & Ivory Gingham and I tucked several Double Head Stamens into the bow.  It's topped with a green button to which I added some Solid Red Baker's Twine.
Down at the bottom right, I added a small piece of ruler washi tape and a fabric covered gingham button from the Embellishment section.  It's attached using a piece of Scor-Tape which holds things securely in place.  The Christmas stocking is a sticker also from my stash.  I really wanted to showcase the lovely ribbons and that super sweet bow.  You can find lots of great inspiration on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog and lots of great shopping at both Really Reasonable Ribbon and Bonnie Garby Designs.  Don't miss out on the inspiration and deals.  Just click on the highlighted links to take you directly there.  Thanks so much for stopping by today, and please visit us again soon.

I'm plating along here:

Peace On Earth Christmas Challenge - Challenge #50 - Anything Goes w/Optional Truck theme.  I was inspired by the traditional Christmas colors (green, red, black)
