Oh Happy Day w/Really Reasonable Ribbon

When I start creating any type of card or project, one thing I can always count on is that Really Reasonable Ribbon will have the perfect color, design, width, etc. of ribbon or trim that will work with it.  That's because they carry adornment of every kind in so many great styles and colors, widths and choices.  It makes it the FUN part of adorning our projects.  Really Reasonable Ribbon also carries great items like Scor-Tape and other Adhesives, Embellishments, Mulberry Flowers and much more.
I don't often use a lot of yellow; but like I mentioned already, Really Reasonable Ribbon carries the perfect colors every time.  I challenge you to find a color that doesn't have a matching trim at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  Seriously.  I used some older patterned papers from my stash and attached everything securely using Scor-Tape.  The little sentiment is from an Echo Park Spring Market stamp set.  Please let me know if you have any questions.
Across the middle of my card, I ran lengths of Moss/Cream Gingham Ribbon and the Maize Gingham Ribbon which are secured with pieces of Scor-Tape.  The Button card was stamped using an older stamp set from Papertrey Ink.  It's topped with some pretty Miniature Yellow Sweetheart Blossoms, a Pastel Green Apple Blossom, Solid Mint Baker's Twine and Double Head Stamens.
Be sure to check all the amazing inspiration on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog and stay up-to-date about special sales and promotions.  I'm sure grateful for your visit here today, and I hope you're having a creative week.  Thanks so much and happy crafting, everyone.

Celebrating Autumn w/Really Reasonable Ribbon

Well, we know Autumn is just around the corner.  It's just a whole lot harder to recognize here in the hot, dry desert of Nevada.  We don't get many of the changing leaves, the cool crisp Autumn air, etc.  I just look forward to when it's cool enough outside to wear my cute boots, scarves and sweaters.  I'm HOT and looking forward to the cooler temperatures.  Really Reasonable Ribbon and Bonnie Garby Designs helped me create this sweet Autumn card to welcome in the new season as it approaches.
I used some old Crate Paper patterned papers for the card base.  I attached all my paper using Scor-Tape which an awesome Adhesive.  I also laid a piece of Scor-Tape on my card where I placed a length of Chipmunk Double Satin Stitch Ribbon topped with a length of Orange Gingham Ribbon.  Because Scor-Tape comes in so many different widths, there's a perfect roll of Scor-Tape for every project.  And things get held in place securely....the way they should.
The sentiment is from the Autumn Leaves Digital Stamp Bundle found at Bonnie Garby Designs.  There are SO many fabulous digital stamp sets at Bonnie Garby Designs to help you expand your sentiment options.  Digital stamps are less expensive, they don't take up physical space to store them, and they make it so quick and easy to pop together a sweet card.  This sentiment was cut using a Crimped Frame Die from The Greetery.
The other goodies I added to my card include Autumn Gold Mulberry Flowers, Orange Mulberry Flowers, Brown Burlap String, and some Oatmeal Double Head Stamens.  There are always lots of FAB items waiting for you at Really Reasonable Ribbon and lots of inspiration on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog.  Thanks so much for stopping by to visit today.  It's always a treat.

Here's where I'm sharing my card:

The Paper Funday Challenges - Challenge #68 - August: Anything Goes/Optional Twist: Summer Holidays - I went with the Anything Goes option.  What fabulous sponsors for this challenge.  Hurray!!!!

Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop

Are you ready for a fun-filled Blog Hop with awesome prizes, great inspiration and loads of FUN?  Well, if so; you're in the right place.  You may have found your way here by way of Misty's Blog; but if not, it's easy to catch up by visiting the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog.  Please be sure to visit each Design Team Member and leave them a comment.  It's greatly appreciated (and it's one of the few rules to make you eligible for the prizes).  One lucky person will WIN a $10 credit to Really Reasonable Ribbon AND one digital stamp bundle from Bonnie Garby Designs.
This card was super easy to make.  I used black and red cardstocks that I layered together using strips of Scor-Tape.  I used Denim Oxide Ink to rub on some color using a star stencil (from WalMart).  I also rubbed the outer parts of the frames with oxide inks.  The sentiment in the center is found in the 4th of July Stamp Bundle from Bonnie Garby Designs.
Once I had all my papers and sentiment ready, I used more fabulous Scor-Tape to secure a length of the following trims: Electric Blue Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon, Bold Check Red Gingham Ribbon, 3/8" Royal Blue Gingham and bundled Iridescent White Metallic String.  I also tucked in several Lake Blue, Wine Red and Milky White Double Head Stamens.
Your next, and final, stop on this Blog Hop is at the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog where you'll need to answer one special question.  But again, PLEASE don't forget to leave a comment on each blog along the way.  Thanks so much for stopping by today, and happy crafting.

Blessings,
Karen

He Is the Light w/Really Reasonable Ribbon

Well, hello to everyone stopping by my blog and please know that I'm very grateful for your visit today.  I appreciate every single visitor, every single comment, and every single opportunity to either make a new blog friend or to reconnect with an old one.  Either way, it always makes me happy.  Any time that I can make a card and adorn it with some type of ribbon or trim, it opens up a whole world of different creative options, and Really Reasonable Ribbon always makes it easy and fun.
For this card, I started with basic black cardstock that I layered with a yellow patterned paper from JilliBean Soup.  Next, I cut a frame from white cardstock using the Crimped Frames Die from The Greetery.  I inked the edges and I stencilled the background using a Tim Holtz lines stencil in Fossilized Amber Oxide Ink.  I'm sorry to say that I don't know what company makes the light bulb dies I used as they're not in their original packaging.
The sentiment I used is found in the He Is The Light Stamp Set from Stamp Simply.  At the bottom of my card, I ran a length of Black & White Bold Plaid Ribbon and I also tied a pretty bow with it.  Underneath the bow, I added some bundled Yellow Burlap String and several pretty Double Head Stamens.  I topped it all with a White Carnation using a cut piece of Scor-Tape.  The screw-in part of the light bulbs (two layers) were raised up using 3-D Foam Tabs for dimension.
Be sure to stop by the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog for lots of great inspiration as well as information about special sales and promotions.  We're always here to help, to inspire, and to answer any questions we can.  Whether you need ribbons and trims, Adhesives, Mulberry Flowers or Embellishments, you're almost always sure to find it all when you shop RRR.  Thanks so much for stopping by today, everyone.  Have a great week.

Blessings,
Karen

Christmas Cookies w/Really Reasonable Ribbon

What makes a card interesting in your opinion?  For me, it needs some depth, some texture, something that makes it stand out and take notice.  Well, when I use ribbons and trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon on my cards, I know I'll always have the perfect accents to add those touches of texture, depth and personality.  That's what I did for this SWEET Christmas card.
I used basic black cardstock that I layered with a deep green patterned paper.  I machine stitched the papers together and then added a darling sentiment from Bonnie Garby Designs.  I cut the "cookies" using some old dies and I topped one with Cherry Baker's Twine and some rusty jingle bells.  On the lefthand side of my card, I added a beautiful ribbon treatment.
This sweet ribbon topping started with a length of Emerald Green Gingham Ribbon that I ran down the left side of the card.  Next, I tied a big pretty bow using Red Gingham Ribbon.  I also tucked in some Green Bundled String, Mulberry Leaves, wool felt leaves, and a sweet topping of various Open Roses.  The cookies, sentiment and ribbons were attached using lots of fabulous Scor-Tape.
We all hope that you'll visit the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog often for lots of great inspiration and up-to-date information about special sales and promotions.  You won't want to miss any of what's happening at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  Have a blessed and creative week, everyone.

My card started with basic black and orange cardstock that I layered with a green patterned paper that I pressure embossed using the Tim Holtz Lumber Embossing Folder.  I used a beautiful sentiment from Bonnie Garby Designs that can be found in the Thanksgiving Sentiments Bundle.  The cute scarecrow, pumpkins and birds are from the Happy Harvest Stamp Set by Lawn Fawn.
I ran a length of Moss & Cream Gingham Ribbon across my card and tied a bow with it.  I tucked in several Double Head Stamens, and topped the bow with an Orange Open Rose.  Everything is secured in place using Scor-Tape which such a fabulous Adhesive that lasts.  And, most of the ribbons at RRR come in various widths which is super helpful.

It's Blog Hop Time at Really Reasonable Ribbon

Ready, set, FUN!  It's time for the September Blog Hop at Really Reasonable Ribbon and we're SO glad you've stopped by to hop along with us.  This is a very quick blog hop with just five stops and a final question at the end on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog.  You should have arrived here from Bonnie's Blog, but you can catch the line-up by following the links.
I made a card and candy treat tube with tag.  The candy tube is from Hobby Lobby and is filled with white Skittles.  At the top, I wrapped a length of Black & White Bold Check Gingham Ribbon, a length of Orange Baker's Twine, and a length of Solid Black Baker's Twine to secure the tag to the candy tube.  The little bat is a chipboard piece, and the spiders are stickers and ephemera pieces.
The card uses a die-cut and then small scraps of patterned papers to fill each empty space.  The sentiments (Itsy Bitsy Spider and October 31) are both from Bonnie Garby Designs.  They can be found in the Halloween Haunting Bundle.  The spiders and small pieces are super old (stash) Jolee's pieces.  The bow that I added in the upper left corner uses the same Black & White Bold Check Gingham Ribbon that I used on the candy tube.  I also added some Solid Ivory Baker's Twine and a pretty Orange Open Rose to this spooky card.
I couldn't resist giving it that touch of sweetest along with the spookiness.  Ribbons are always a must for me.  Your final stop is on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog where you'll answer a quick question.  One lucky person will WIN a $10 gift certificate to Really Reasonable Ribbon AND two digital stamp sheets from Bonnie Garby Designs.  Don't miss the fun.

Cheers to Forever w/Really Reasonable Ribbon

While I do realize that Fall is creeping in on some of you, it's still over 100 degrees here in the Las Vegas valley, and it's still very much Summer.  That means days in the pool, walks in the evening, and having the A/C running 24/7.  The card I'm sharing today is an Anniversary card that I created for some friends of ours.  As always, I knew I could count on Really Reasonable Ribbon to have all the perfect trims for my card.
I used basic white cardstock that I layered with some American Crafts patterned paper and a piece of painted corrugated cardboard.  I ran a length of Medium Pink Gingham Ribbon down the side of my card.  I also used the Medium Pink Gingham Ribbon to tie a pretty bow that also includes some Solid Light Pink Baker's Twine, Natural Burlap String, Dark Rose Double Head Stamens, Milk White Double Head Stamens and two beautiful Open Roses.
The sentiment I used is from Bonnie Garby Designs and I rubbed it with Spun Sugar Oxide Ink.  I also attached more of the Natural Burlap String to hold some of the lovely little 11mm Heart Shaped Imitation Pearl Embellishments.  The sweet sentiment (Cheers to Forever) is found in the Wedding Bundle.  I attached everything to my card using pieces of Scor-Tape which is such as AWESOME Adhesive.
Thanks so much for visiting me today, friends.  I appreciate you stopping by and I really do hope that you'll check out Really Reasonable Ribbon and treat yourself to some new trims.  My suggestions are Baker's Twine, Burlap String and Gingham Ribbon; but there are literally hundreds of fabulous choices.  Have a blessed and creative week.

Land of the Free w/Really Reasonable Ribbon

I just LOVE all the fabulous sentiments and images from Bonnie Garby Designs.  How cute is this one that says "Land of the Free Because of the Brave" and it's a perfect sentiment to celebrate the Fourth of July, or to send to a veteran any time of year.  In fact, Bonnie Garby Designs has oodles of perfect sentiments for every occasion.  I coupled that with a few of the gorgeous trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon and came up with this sweet card.
This fantastic sentiment can be found in the Patriotic Digital Stamp Bundle along with several other awesome patriotic sentiments.  I cut this circular sentiment using the Double Stitched Circle Dies from Gina K Designs.  I used JilliBean Soup patterned papers that I attached with Scor-Tape and then machine stitched together.
I ran a length of Red Gingham Ribbon across my card and tied a pretty bow with that and a length of Solid Dark Blue Baker's Twine.  Next, I added a pretty Ivory Open Rose, two stick pins, and then off to the right I also added two Red Open Roses.  There are so many gorgeous Mulberry Flowers, ribbons, twines and laces at Really Reasonable Ribbon and you're always sure to find the perfect accents.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.  You're always sure to find lots of great inspiration on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog and we enjoy your visits.  I hope you'll visit Bonnie Garby Designs and Really Reasonable Ribbon.  You'll love them both, I assure you.  Have a blessed and creative day, everyone.

It's Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop Time

Welcome to the February Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop.  You should have arrived here by way of Bonnie's Blog; but if not, you get caught up quickly by visiting the RRR Blog.  There are only six stops in total, so it's not a long hop and one lucky person will WIN a $10 gift certificate to Really Reasonable Ribbon.  This month's theme is "Favorite Ribbon Style" and my favorite (or at least one of my favorites) is gingham ribbon and RRR has LOTS of great choices.
I layered basic white and then red cardstocks to create my card base.  Next, I used the Crimped Frames Die from The Greetery to cut my patterned paper.  The die-cut piece of patterned paper was too short to properly fit my card, so.....I used the perfect solution - RIBBON.  I cut a length of Red & White Bold Check Ribbon to cover the gap cut in the paper to make it fit the space.  I also tied a bow with the Red & White Bold Check Ribbon as well as a double length of knotted Solid Mint Baker's Twine.
The sweet (I Love You) sentiment can be found in the Valetine Bundle by Bonnie Garby Designs.  All the sentiments in the collections from Bonnie Garby Designs are beautiful.  I rubbed mint ink right over the image and it still looks amazing.  I topped the bow with a sweet Pale Pink Open Rose and I tucked in a 15mm Green Mulberry Leaf and several Double Head Stamens.  I added half of a white doily and attached everything you see using Scor-Tape Adhesive.
I really do hope that you'll stop by and support Really Reasonable Ribbon and Bonnie Garby Designs.  They're both AMAZING companies owned and run by a truly beautiful friend of mine, the talented Bonnie.  And....you will absolutely LOVE everything you find at both of these lovely stores.  Thanks for stopping by today, ribbon lovers.  Really Reasonable Ribbon is always the perfect place to find the best selection of amazing ribbons, trims, laces, twines, adhesives, mulberry flowers and so much more.  The RRR Blog is always filled with fresh new inspirational projects and creative ideas for using ribbons and other great crafting items.  Your final stop on this Blog Hop is at The Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog where you'll answer a quick question in order to be entered into the drawing for this awesome prize.
Here are the fun challenges where I'll be sharing my sweet Valentine's Day card:

Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge - TTT Challenge #196 - Elizabeth's Pick - My Tic-Tac-Toe for this card can be found across the top row with Heart (lots of hearts), Patterned Paper and a Doily.  I also used Red, a Love Sentiment, and a Die-Cut so I incorporated almost all of the elements on the inspiration board.

Dare 2B Artzy - February Challenge: LOVE - I used lots of great LOVE elements on this sweet little card.

Thanks for hopping along with us, and best of luck in the random draw.  Y'all have a blessed and creative week.  Stop back by any time....I always appreciate it.

Blessings,
Karen

Christmas Joy w/Stamp Simply

Have you put up your Christmas tree yet?  No pressure, of course.  It sounds like we won't be putting up our tree this year.  It's a long story, and I won't get into here.  But let me say this....making cards with the beautiful Christmas Joy Stamp Set from Stamp Simply is almost as fun as trimming the tree.  These gorgeous ornaments are SO much fun.
I used white Bazzill cardstock to create this card.  I inked the edges of the bottom layer with Broken China Oxide Ink, and inked the top layer with Spun Sugar Oxide Ink.  I stamped the ornaments found in the Christmas Joy Stamp Set; but as you can see, I stamped them very lightly with Hickory Smoke Ink.  I did some oxide ink water coloring on each ornament, and I painted in some of the shapes.  I also added some lines and dots with a black Sharpie.  I realize this lends to an imperfect look, but I like it.
The cute lines I stamped coming down from the top of the card are also found in the Christmas Joy Stamp Set.  There are three styles of these ornament lines in this set.  The sentiment I used on this card is also found in the Christmas Joy Stamp Set.  I ran some Black & White Gingham Ribbon across the card and tied a bow with it on the left side.  Oh, and of course, I used the coordinating Christmas joy Dies to cut those pretty ornaments.
One lonely little sequin was the finishing touch.  There are SO many fabulous stamps and dies at Stamp Simply as well as ribbons, stencils, embossing folders, and much more.  Also, don't miss out on all the fabulous inspiration on the Stamp Simply Blog along with information about special sales and promotions that you won't want to miss.  Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today.  I'm always super grateful for your visits and comments.  Have a fabulously creative week, everyone.

Christmas JOY w/Really Reasonable Ribbon

Are you ready for Christmas?  I'm most definitely not.  Luckily, our family isn't actually visiting until the day after Christmas, so I do get a little extra time to prepare.  I have been having a lot of fun creating Christmas cards and projects and picking up gifts and stocking stuffers.  Today I'm sharing a cute Christmas mitten filled with lots of sweet treats.  Really Reasonable Ribbon made it easy.
Oh my!  Where do I start?  I used a die-cut from PTI to cut that treat bag.  The base (back) is cut from cardboard and the front is cut from kraft tissue paper.  I machine stitched the edges to create the pocket where I could slip in goodies.  I added some peppermint sticks, candies, etc.  I ran some pretty Crochet Lace and some Red & White Gingham Ribbon across the lower part of the treat bag.
Each trim from Really Reasonable Ribbon that I added just made it cuter and cuter.  At the top of the mitten, I added some Black & White Bold Check Ribbon, some more of the pretty Crochet Lace and a piece of White Pom Pom Ribbon.  I also tucked in a few Milk White Double Head Stamens underneath the holly berries and ivy that were cut from wool felt.  I hung the mini kraft tag (JOY) from a Rusty Pear- Shaped Clip from the Embellishments section.  These adorable Pins are sold out.  But, for anyone (US only) who places an order at RRR this week and lets me know, I'll send you one dozen of these cuties.
I added a Flatback White Pearl to the tiny snowflake.  I also made another cute Santa cinnamon stick and it's hung with a length of Red Satin Ribbon.  I realize there's a lot going on with this project.  If you have any questions, just let me know.  There's always lots of great inspiration on the RRR Blog and lots of great shopping at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  Thanks so much for visiting today, and please stop by again soon.

I'm entering my project in the following challenges:

ABC Christmas Challenge Blog - W (White) or X (X-tra Special) and I'd like to think this pocket full of goodies is extra special because it was made for an X-TRA SPECIAL girl, my granddaughter.
