I Will be With You w/Stamp Simply

One of the many things that I love about Stamp Simply Clear Stamps is that I know I can always find the perfect stamps, sentiments, scriptures and products I need to help me create lovely cards.  Knowing that I'll always find the perfect scripture or sentiments to express how I'm feeling is such a tremendous blessing.  This week at Stamp Simply, we're showcasing some of the fabulous Lighthouse, Bridge and Great Lakes Freighter stamps we carry.  As always, these fabulous sets are also filled with awesome accent stamps, images, scriptures and sentiments.

I used kraft cardstock for the base and stamped pieces.  The patterned papers are (blue) from the Craft Consortium Beach Hut 6x6 Paper Pad and (red and stamps) from an older Graphic 45 Paper Pad.  I machine stitched my papers together and "roughed up" the edges a bit for a distressed look.  I also added some Jute String, a button and 1.5" Cluny Crochet Double Galloon Natural Lace.

That fabulous lighthouse I used can be found in the He is the Light Stamp Set.  The sentiment, border rope and seagulls are from the He Stilled the Storm Stamp Set.  I also used the coordinating He is the Light Dies and He Stilled the Storm Dies.  My sentiment was cut with one of the Fishtail Banner Dies.  Yes, Stamp Simply Clear Stamps has so many great stamps, dies and crafting goodies.  And....these fabulous products are ON SALE this week.

God is My Safe Harbor w/Creative Worship

If you love lighthouses, crosses, fabulous sentiments, fun stamps, dies and stencils; then you will be most delighted with the NEW Release this month at Creative Worship Stamps.  You can see the entire NEW Release by clicking this link.  I haven't had a chance yet to use all of the new items, but I'm sure looking forward to creating with them and to seeing all the fabulous creations by my talented teammates.  They always knock my socks off with their amazing talent.

I started my square card with Natural White Cardstock.  I pressure embossed the second layer with an Altenew Organic Linen Embossing Folder.  Next, I grabbed three different (older October Afternoon) patterned papers.  I roughed up the edges and machine stitched them together to give the background some color.  I stamped the smaller of two lighthouses found in the NEW Safe Harbor Stamp Set.  The background of the lighthouse image also has some of the flying seagulls which are also found in the Safe Harbor Stamp Set.  I cut the image using the second largest oval found in the Stitched Oval Dies.  It did cut off a small portion at the bottom of this gorgeous lighthouse image.

The sentiment I used is also found in the NEW Safe Harbor Stamp Set as are the rocks.  I fussy cut the sentiment into two pieces and attached them to a smaller oval cut using the Stitched Oval Dies.  Under the images, I added a piece of vintage lace and a burgundy trim in an attempt to give my card some texture and to tie in the colors found in my stamped image.  I also cut two hearts (upper left) using the Heart Dies, and I added a few small sequins as the finishing touch.

The Light Shines w/Stamp Simply

Hello, and welcome.  It's always a treat to have you visit me here on my blog.  Today I'm sharing a FUN lighthouse card that I created for Stamp Simply Clear Stamps using just a few of their many wonderful products.  There are several different Lighthouse Stamps available at Stamp Simply, as well as stamps and dies for just about every other category you can imagine.  They carry a wonderful variety of wonderfully amazing products.

Lighthouses always make me think of my sister, Audra, who passed of brain cancer.  She loved them so much because they reminded her of how God is our light in the dark storms, just like the lighthouses are to the ships.  Stamp Simply carries so many great Lighthouse Stamps.  I started with a black cardstock base and I layered that with a woodgrain paper found in the Craft Consortium's Scorched Wood 6x6 Paper Pad.   It's a really warm welcoming paper pad for card bases.  Next, I added some patterned paper scraps to the card base.  And finally, I added a paper ledger page from my stash, and this is where I did my stamping.  Very basic and easy.

I used the He Is The Light Stamp Set with Ground Espresso ink to stamp the lighthouse, the sentiment, anchor and ship's wheel.  I used the He Is The Light Dies to cut the ship's wheel.  Oh, before I forget to mention it, the flying seagulls are found in the He Stilled the Storm Stamp Set.  I also tucked in some torn cheesecloth and some bundled Green Jute from the Burlap Jute Sampler Pack.  There are lots of great trims and other surprising goodies waiting for you at Stamp Simply.

Stamp Simply Supports Coffee Lovers

The Coffee Loving Cardmakers' Blog Hops have been taking place for many years now.  I'm so happy to say that Stamp Simply has been a supporter of these Coffee Hops for a long time as well.  As a crafting community, we're all so grateful for the amazing companies (and their Owners) who so generously support our challenges, blog hops, etc.  My friend, Sharon, the Owner of Stamp Simply Clear Stamps is one of these amazing, generous and beautiful people.  I'm so grateful for her.

Stamp Simply carries so many great coffee-themed stamps and dies.  Well, then again, they carry almost every category or theme of stamps and dies that you can image.  Their beautiful images and sentiments cover all of life's wonderful occasions, and then some.  This card combines patterned papers from Carta Bella Fourth of July 6x6 Paper Pad, some dark wood Craft Consortium Wood Textures 6x6 Paper Pad, kraft corrugated cardboard, and kraft cardstock.

I used the A Cup of Java Steel Dies to cut my coffee mugs.  I used the He Is The Light Stamp Set for the lighthouse and wooden logs with rope.  I cut the wooden logs using the He Is The Light Steel Dies.  The coffee sentiment I used is found in the A Cup of Java Stamp Set.  The sentiment was stamped onto a circle that's cut using the Amazing Grace Hemstitch Circle Die.

He is the Light w/Stamp Simply

Hello, sweet friends, and thanks for stopping by my blog today.  This week at Stamp Simply, we're sharing lighthouse cards.  In addition to all the other sentiments, images, scriptures and stamps for every occasion you can imagine; they also carry a Michigan themed category with some gorgeous Lighthouse Stamp Sets.  You really won't want to miss any of the wonderful stamps, dies and products from Stamp Simply.  The card I'm sharing today uses a peacock blue cardstock and a kraft cardstock that I layered.  The top layer was hand cut into a tag and that's where I stamped the gorgeous lighthouse from the He Is The Light Stamp Set.  I stamped everything in the same color ink as the peacock blue base (or as close to it as possible).  I used the smaller images (flying birds, anchor, wood stumps) from the one set and the other lighthouse stamp set which is called He Stilled The Storm Stamp Set.  I masked the lighthouse so that I wouldn't stamp over it.

The sentiment that's worked into the lighthouse image is also found in the He Is The Light Stamp Set.  At the top of the kraft tag, I punched two tiny hole and ran a length of Natural Burlap String through the holes.  I wanted to use eyelets, but I don't think I own mine anymore.  I chose to make a very similar second card this time using red.

With all the same stamp sets, products and techniques as the first card, I used a different sentiment.  It's always fun to try making a card like this one in various colors.  It's a simple layout; and for that reason, I decided to create a matching envelope for each card.  I added a piece of washi tape to each envelope and stamped one of the nautical images from the He Is The Light Stamp Set in the alternating colors.

I used another length of Natural Burlap String to run through the holes of the tag.  This lovely string comes in a wide variety of colors and gives such a warm texture to your cards.  There are lots of great trims, patterned papers, and so much more waiting for you at Stamp Simply.  Again, thanks so much for visiting me today.  I'm always grateful to have you stop by and say hello.  Be sure to see all the wonderful inspiration on the Stamp Simply Blog using the AWESOME products from Stamp Simply.
