One Card & Two Layouts w/Poppystamps

It's always so much FUN using the wonderful layered and detailed die-cuts from Poppystamps.  When I take them out and create with them, it's always a good time.  Today I'm sharing a sweet Autumn card that uses just two different sets from Poppystamps.  There are lots of paper layers on this warm and heartfelt card, and because the patterned papers are so busy; I decided to make two versions of this card.  This first one has more of the patterned papers, and the second version is a bit simpler with less of the patterned paper.
For both cards, I used lots of Echo Park's lovely Fall Blessings patterned papers.  I cut each background layer using the Eyelet Frame Dies.  This has become a favorite of mine, and as you can see; I love running some Baker's Twine through the eyelet hoops for added color and texture.  This lovely 6-piece Eyelet Frame Die Set is a great investment because you'll use it time and time again.  Once I had all my background layers in place, the real FUN began.
I used the ADORABLE NEW Nordic Acorn Squirrel Dies to cut that sweet squirrel.  I used more of my patterned papers to cut Mr. Squirrel's cute sweater as well as for all those darling little acorns.  I rubbed the edges of the patterned paper-cut acorns with some distress ink for shading and placed them all around the squirrel.  Like I said, using just two die sets was all it took to create this sweet card.  OK...now I'll share the second, less busy version of this card.
For this second version, I removed one of the patterned papers and replaced it with a larger piece of the ivory cardstock that I cut, once again, using the Eyelet Frame Dies.  I almost forgot to mention that on both cards, I splattered everything with a bit of Spiced Marmalade and Peeled Paint Distress Spritz.  This gives your cards another pop of color and pizzazz.  This version is basically the same card other than that I changed the background layers, and I changed the sweater on the squirrel.
Which version of this card is your favorite?  My husband thinks the first version is way too busy.  I think I kinda like all those pretty papers and colors.  Those who know me best are well aware of my need to layer it on...and then some.  As I've mentioned many times, layering paper is one of my favorite things to do when cardmaking.  It's always fun to make a second version of a card just to showcase the products differently.
Using the dies from Poppystamps really is SO FUN and SO EASY.  You simply cut the layers and place them where they go using your favorite glue or adhesive.  Some of our Poppystamps Designers make very simple cards, and some go crazy like me.😲  The point is that with Poppystamps products, it's always fun and easy.  I really do hope that you'll stop by to take a look around at all the wonderful dies at Poppystamps that will help you create something wonderful.  They also have a really FUN Monthly Challenge where you can WIN a $20 store credit.
Thanks so much for taking the time to visit me here today.  It's always a treat to have you stop by to take a quick peek at my art, and I appreciate it more than I can possibly express to you.  Let me know what you think about these cards I've shared today.  Your opinions are always appreciated and valued.  Have a wonderfully creative week, sweet friends.

TIME OUT Challenges - Challenge #322 - Seasonal Colors Where You Live - I live in the desert known as Las Vegas, but we live just minutes away from Mt. Charleston.  We visited this week to view the changing leaves.  While they don't come close to the leaves in Minnesota (see above), I chose these colors for my card based on the rustic Autumn colors I saw there.  I also saw several squirrels on our trip to the mountain, and they are SO cute.

Craft Rocket Challenge Blog - Challenge #140 - Use Dies - I used lots of die-cuts on this card, and they're all mentioned and linked above.

Autumn Thanks w/Poppystamps

So many super cute die-cuts with so many lovely details.  These lovely layered dies from Poppystamps are SO much fun to use.  The card I'm sharing today features some of the older Poppystamps favorites with some of the NEW Holiday Cheer 2026 Release dies.  All of the dies you'll find at Poppystamps are so sweet and simple to use.  These layered dies will provide you with hours of happy creative crafting.
I used black and cream cardstocks for the base.  I cut all the inner layers using the (2764) Eyelet Frame Dies and I layered some cardstock and patterned paper layers to my base.  This gives my card so much texture.  On the outmost layer, I thread Ivory Baker's Twine through the loops and tied a sweet little bow in the corner.  Using lots of paper layers is something I enjoy.  There's something about layers, depth and texture that really makes me happy.  It's also a great way to use up scraps of patterned paper.
The first thing I cut was that DARLING NEW (2788) Country Pickup Truck Die Set.  I used vellum for the back window, Blueberry Mist for the truck, and grey cardstock for the bumper, lights, etc.  How cute is that truck?  I absolutely love it, and it's SO easy to put together.  Next, I cut several pumpkins using the (2787) Pumpkin Patch Dies.  I inked them and placed them in and around the truck.  Some are raised up with 3-D Foam Tabs.
Can we talk about that darling little fox?  She was put together using the sweet (2786) Nordic Waving Fox Dies.  I used some patterned papers for her dress as well as for the backgrounds and some of the pumpkins so that everything would easily coordinate.  It's easy and fun to combine cardstocks with patterned papers when using Poppystamps Dies.  It's also a great way to use up paper scraps.  Well, I sure do appreciate you stopping by to take a peek at my card today.  Thanks so much and have a great week.

I'm sharing my card in the following FUN challenges where I love to play along:

New Release at Poppystamps

It's time for another FUN card using more of the fabulous NEW Holiday Cheer 2026 Release from Poppystamps.  This awesome new collection includes the sweetest dies including penguins, a fun sled, an old truck, pumpkins, trees and SO much more.  You can see it ALL by popping over to Poppystamps for a quick peek.  I'm having so much fun using these awesome new die-cuts, and you will too.
How CUTE, right?  This card came together easily.  I used black and red cardstocks for my base.  The top white layer was cut using the darling Eyelet Frames, and I ran some Cherry Baker's Twine through the holes for an extra fun touch of dimension.  The red hearts were left over pieces which were cut using the sweet Heartfelt Pinpoint Frame Die.
The sweet trees were cut using two different shades of green cardstock and the AWESOME NEW Trimmed Trees Dies.  They're really awesome trees for all kinds of projects, and I know it's a set I'll use a lot.  Those sweet little penguins can be found in the NEW Santa Penguin Dies and Coffee Penguin Dies.  The gift that penguin (on the right) is holding can also be a heart 💗or a cute little coffee cup.  And finally, they're taking a quick ride on the darling NEW Winter Sled.  How fun.
Be sure to visit Poppystamps to see all these fabulous NEW dies.  You can also find lots of great inspiration and a FUN monthly Challenge on the Poppystamps Blog.  It's always a blessing to have you visit me here, and I want you to know that I really appreciate you for it.  Take care and enjoy your week, everyone.

Thanks w/CutCardStock

It's always nice to send a thank you card when someone does something kind or helpful.  Having those cards readily on hand becomes so easy when you start with good quality cardstock.  The rest is easy.  Choosing a quality cardstock really does make a big difference in the quality, feel and appearance of our cards.  For this reason, I've really been enjoying using the wonderful cardstocks found at CutCardStock.
This card starts with Astrobright 80 lb. Eclipse Cardstock layered with Cougar White Cardstock.  The top layer is that deep gorgeous Pop Tone Razzle Berry Cardstock that I cut with a cute Heart Die from Poppystamps.  I used some sweet flower dies that are also from Poppystamps to cut each flower.  To do this, I used the Pop Tone Razzle Berry Cardstock, Pop Tone Pink Lemonade Cardstock, and DCS Yellow Jacket Textured Cardstock.  The stems and foliage were all cut from Pop Tone Jelly Bean Green Cardstock.
I wish you could FEEL the weight of these wonderful cardstocks.  They feel rich and firm when you hold them in your hands.  Knowing that my cards won't bend or buckle and that they'll last the test of time, mailing and handling is a great comfort.  Quality cardstocks allow us to take pride in our cards knowing that they're made from the highest quality papers available.  That's what you'll find at CutCardStock.
The sentiment is a simple tag from my stash.  Thanks for visiting me here today.  I really do hope you'll check out CutCardStock and their wonderful cardstocks.  Have a wonderfully creative week and please stop by again soon.

Karen

Thank You Tag w/Poppystamps

Hello again, sweet friends, and thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I'm sharing a fun tag with a fancy ribbon topper that uses some of the FABULOUS NEW Release items from the Poppystamps Holiday Cheer 2026 Collection.  These darling new dies are SO much fun to use, and I know I'll be pulling them out again and again this Fall.
I used the darling NEW Pumpkin Patch Dies for all those sweet pumpkins.  I rubbed my cardstock with orange oxide inks, splattered them all with acrylic paint and water, and attached them to mt tag.  The tag itself was cut using the darling NEW Scalloped Framer Tags.  I left off the outer scalloped frame.  This darling new tag set contains four different sized tags and two different tag toppers.  Cute.
At the top of this fun little tag, I added torn pieces of fabric, some laces and various twines & trims to create that crazy tag topper.  I just love seeing all those fun ribbons sticking out the top of a book when using the tag as a bookmark.  The sentiment I added is the Thank You Tender Script Die Set.
If you haven't yet seen the entire Holiday Cheer 2026 Release from Poppystamps, you'll want to stop by and take a peek at it all.  These layered dies are SO fun, and they make it super easy to create beautiful cards and projects.  Thanks so much for stopping by, and happy crafting.

FUN New Challenge at Poppystamps

Hello, all you crafty friends of mine.  Thanks so much for stopping by here today as I share a fun card that I created for Poppystamps using some of their fabulous dies.  This month, I'm the Hostess of the Poppystamps Challenge and our theme is Travel.  It doesn't matter if you're travelling to your backyard for some R&R, gardening or whatever - or if you're travelling abroad.  Whatever this theme of Travel means to you, we really hope that you'll stop by to link up your cards with us this month.
This card uses black, blue and grey cardstocks for the base.  The top layer (grey) and the black and cream layers were all cut using the Fine Eyelet Frames Die Set.  The sentiment is a (retired) Hello Die.  I used the Joyride Car Die Set to create this version of a 57' Chevy Belair.  Obviously, it's not; but since that's my hubby's dream car, today it's a Belair.  The windshield was cut from vellum, and I did some accents with a white gel pen.
My talented friend, Barb Finnical, is my invited Guest Designer for this FUN Challenge.  It would be SO great to have you come play along with us for your chance to WIN a $20 Poppystamps gift card.  If you don't have any Poppystamps dies yet, they have some $1 bargain dies and SO many other great choices.
I'm super grateful for your visit here today.  Please consider stopping by the Poppystamps August Travel Challenge to join the fun and play along.  And please take a moment to browse Poppystamps to see what they have that just might catch your eye.  Happy crafting and have a wonderfully creative week.

Blessings,
Karen

Birthday Fishes Interactive Card w/CCS

When it comes to making Interactive Cards, it really does matter what kind of cardstock you use.  To get the best results and have the interactive mechanism on your card or project work properly, I would highly recommend the high-quality cardstocks from CutCardStock.  They are truly fabulous, and they've made all the difference in my cardmaking.
All the cardstocks I used on this card are from CutCardStock.  They include the base which is Astrobright 80 lb. Eclipse Black Cardstock, then DCS Textured Seafoam Green Cardstock, then DCS Texturized Pearly Curry Green Cardstock, and finally DCS Cougar White 160 lb. Cardstock.  All these same colors were used to cut and piece together the fish which is from The Greetery.
When you open the flap, there's an adhesive under the green star and the flap will stick to the other side revealing a 2.5" honeycomb ball.  I also added some baker's twines and a bit of cheesecloth to represent a fishing net.  Here's a photo (below) of the fish with the green honeycomb ball revealed.
What type of Interactive Cards do you enjoy making?  Be sure to stop by CutCardStock to grab some of their high-quality cardstocks.  They'll make a big difference in your crafting projects, and they'll stand the test of time without bending, creasing, etc.  Thank you so much for visiting me here today, friends.  I'm super grateful for you and I appreciate your visit, as always.

Happy Birthday w/Poppystamps

Making Birthday cards is always a lot of FUN because you're usually thinking about the person who will be receiving it while you're creating it.  Whenever I use my die-cuts from Poppystamps, it's always a fun creative time.  These lovely dies make it SO easy to create pretty cards.  Just look at this sweet Birthday card I created using a few of Poppystamps wonderful products.
This card started with two cuts of basic white cardstock.  The top white layer was cut using the Heart Pinpoint Frame Dies.  This gave me a nice white base with lots of great texture.  Next, I used the Fine Eyelet Frame Dies (second to the smallest size) to cut another piece of the white cardstock.
This is where I placed the focal images for my card (the darling balloons).  I used the Festive Balloon Dies to cut all my sweet little ballons.  I cut them from the same simple white cardstock that I rubbed with inks and splattered with water and paints.  The balloon strings are pieces of DMC floss.  I loved adding the distressed look on the balloons to give them some personality.
At the bottom of my card, I added the Happy Birthday sentiment using the Happy Birthday Tender Script Dies.  I used the same ink colors to rub some shading on the backing of the words.  The top piece is, once again, simple white cardstock.  It's really a pretty simple card, and Poppystamps Dies make it so easy to create.
Thanks for visiting me here today, and please stop by my Instagram Page to Follow me there as well if you will.  It's been such a struggle to try to get to 1,000 Followers there.  But if I ever do, I'll be having a big give-away to celebrate.  I appreciate every visit, every comment, and all your sweet input and inspiration.  Have a blessed and creative week, everyone.

Enjoy the Journey w/CutCardStock

Whatever paths life takes you down, I truly hope you that you enjoy the journey.  Life certainly has its way of throwing hurdles in our way.  I've found that my faith is what gets me through those difficult times.  I also enjoy my crafting time as a way to relax and unwind from the stresses of life.  Your path may be different from mine, but it's always good to make the best of our situation and enjoy the ride, right?  Today I'm sharing a FUN card that I created for CutCardStock using more of their fabulous cardstocks.
The base of this card was cut from Astrobright Eclipse 80 lb. Black Cardstock.  The second layer is Classic Crest Natural Cardstock, and the third color you see is the Lessebo Salt Water Blue Cardstock.  I did some stitching around the frame using Solid Black Baker's Twine.  The cute car die is from Poppystamps.
The details around the grill (bumpers, light covers, grill, etc.) were cut from DCS Dolphin Gray Cardstock.  The headlights (yellow) were colored with a marker, and that cool looking windshield was cut from a small piece of thin vellum.  The high quality of the cardstocks from CutCardStock made it easy to piece together my car (or any detailed die-cut) because these papers are thick and sturdy.
Thank you again for visiting me here.  I'm also sharing this card on my Instagram Page if you'd like to visit and Follow me there as well.  It would be greatly appreciated.  In the meantime, I hope you'll at least stop by CutCardStock to look around at all their wonderful cardstock.  It really is some amazing high-quality paper that I truly enjoy using.  Have a great week, creative friends.

Hugs Tag w/Poppystamps

It's always fun creating a sweet tag with a super FUN topper, and today I'm sharing just that.  Making a tag with an extra fun topper is a really great gift-giving idea for anyone.  Especially if it's someone who loves to read.  Seeing all those fun ribbons, laces, twines and torn fabrics pop out the top of a book is just oh, SO cute.  By using just two products from Poppystamps, I was able to create this darling little tag.
I used cream cardstock to cut my tag using the largest sized tag in the Scallop Pinpoint Tag Dies.  I rubbed the background with Salvaged Patina and Spun Sugar Tim Holtz Oxide Inks.  I splattered the inks with a bit of water.  Next, I cut two butterflies using variating cardstock colors and the lovely Nordic Whisper Butterfly Dies.  They are so easy to put together, and those details are gorgeous.
I used ribbons, solid black baker's twine, tulle, lace and torn fabrics in my tag topper.  They look darling when they pop out the top of your book, so it makes such an adorable bookmark.  I used an out of stock (hugs) sentiment die, but there are many lovely sentiment dies available at Poppystamps.  I hope you'll stop by to take a look around and maybe even treat yourself.
There's also a super FUN monthly challenge over on the Poppystamps Challenge Blog.  You could WIN a gift card to spend at Poppystamps, so come and join all the fun.  Thanks so much for stopping by to visit me here today.  It's always a treat to have you say hello when you're here.  Have a great day.

I'm sharing my Summery tag in the following:

Be Blessed w/Poppystamps

If you haven't yet check out all the FABULOUS dies from Poppystamps, you're really missing some truly wonderful dies.  Poppystamps has so many awesome images that are brought to life with their intricate layered dies.  Just pick out your papers, cut them with Poppystamps dies, piece/layer them together and VOILA!  You have a beautiful card.   Here's what I created to share with you today.
I used black and white cardstocks that I layered for my base.  I used some older Crate Paper pattern papers and I cut the green layer using the lovely Heart Pinpoint Frame Die.  All those cute little hearts can be placed inside as confetti for a FUN effect.  That was the entirety of the card base.  And yes, it's very busy with all those pretty pattern papers.
I cut four of the smallest sized tags found in the Scalloped Pinpoint Tags Dies.  The set has four (4) sized tags and two different tag tabs.  I used one of the tag tabs and tucked in a piece of Solid Ivory Baker's Twine in each tag top.  Each pretty flower was cut from the pattern papers using the gorgeous Nordic Scatter Flowers.  As you can see, I truly scattered them everywhere.  Just look at all those amazing paper layers.  Poppystamps makes it easy.
I searched through my stamps for the smallest stamped images I could find.  They happen to be from Creative Worship Stamps.  I really wanted to keep the primary focus on all the gorgeous dies I used from Poppystamps.  It's a great time to head over to Poppystamps to treat yourself to some new dies.  There's also a FUN Challenge every month on the Poppystamps Blog.  Come, join the FUN.

Layers & Textures w/CutCardStock

If you're anything like me, you enjoy adding layers of paper and lots of great texture to your cards.  While there are many ways to achieve layers and textures, the card I'm sharing today does it by layering some truly fabulous cardstock from CutCardStock for the base.  This gave my card the sturdy foundation it needs, and I knew I was ready to add all the pretty parts.
The first layer is Natural White Cardstock which is FABULOUS.  I love its thickness and weight, and I tend to use this particular cardstock a lot.  The second pretty layer is Pop Tone Pink Lemonade Cardstock.  It's such a soft sweet pink tone.  The top layer (isn't it stunning?) is Textured Plum Cardstock, and I pressure embossed it with the Simon Says Stamp Dibble Tile Embossing Folder for added texture.
All those pretty flowers were cut using the Nordic Scattered Flowers Dies from Poppystamps.  The sentiment was stamped in Villainous Potion Purple Ink using a stamp and die set (retired) also from Poppystamps.  The stems of each flower were cut from Jellybean Green Cardstock.  Between all the wonderful cardstocks, the flowers, and the pressure embossing, I was able to achieve all the layers and textures I desired.  CutCardStock really is the place to get all your cardstock because it's of a quality that I've never before experienced, and it's truly making a BIG difference in the quality of my cards.
We hope that you'll visit the CutCardStock Blog for daily inspiration, and we also hope you'll look to CutCardStock for all your cardstock needs.  You really will LOVE💞these quality cardstocks, and you're sure to find the perfect colors, weights and sizes for every project you make.  Stop by and check it out.  Thanks SO much for visiting me here today.  I'm so grateful.

Sending Hugs w/Poppystamps

Ever since I joined the Design Team at Poppystamps, I've been falling more and more in love with all their wonderful layered intricate dies. And right when I think I've seen them all, I find yet another that's just as lovely as the last.  Each and every die set from Poppystamps is stunning and will help you create the most beautiful cards you can imagine.  It's hard (perhaps impossible) to go wrong with these gorgeous dies.  You cut them, piece them together, and....POP!  You have a lovely card in no time at all.
The first layer is Natural White Cardstock and the second layer is Pink Lemonade cardstock.  The pink layer was cut using the gorgeous Gilded Plate Craft Die.  I allowed a few of the cut pieces to fall out, revealing the creamy background.  The sweet flowers were cut from the same cardstock as the base using the Nordic Pendant Flower Dies.  I rubbed each piece with oxide inks and sprinkled them with a dusting of ultra-fine glitter  I believe that the (hugs) sentiment die is retired.  Sorry.
And how about the sweet butterfly?  I used the Nordic Cheery Butterflies Dies to cut this sweet butterfly.  The set has two different sizes, but I used just the one on this card.  It's even more amazing in real life, trust me.  A few coordinating sequins were the finishing touch to this sweet and simple card.  The Poppystamps dies are the real star of the show here, and they make it so easy to create sweet cards.
You can read more about my card on the Poppystamps Blog, and you'll also find many other inspiring cards there each day.  There's also a FUN challenge each month where you can play along for the chance to WIN a Poppystamps gift card.  How fun is that?  Thanks so much for visiting me here today, and happy crafting to you all.  I'm so grateful for your visits here.

Hello w/Poppystamps

As my journey continues, I'm sharing my second card for Poppystamps since joining their Design Team.  I'm having so much fun using these fabulous intricate die-cuts carried at Poppystamps.  Each time I open a new set, I fall more and more in love with the small details in each one.  These background die, once again, called to me and asked me to do some hand-stitching on the card.  Of course, I had to oblige and answer this call by pulling out my DMC floss to add some extra colors and textures, of course.
I started with Natural White Cardstock and Pink Cardstock that I layered together.  The top layer was cut using the lovely Fine Eyelet Frame Dies.  This sweet set contains six different frame sizes.  The one I used on this card is the largest of the six sizes.  I stitched the edges with coordinating DMC flosses for added color and texture, splattered the background with acrylic paints, and added a few sequins.
I used the lovely Nordic Cozy Tea Cup Dies for that super sweet tea cup.  All those lovely intricate details in the tea cup give this card so much color, texture, and detail in each part.  Even the steam is cute, and I added some ultra-fine glitter to that.  The sweet little butterflies I used are found in the Nordic Cheery Butterflies.  They're the perfect size to rest sweetly on the tea cup.
I'm also sharing this card on the Poppystamps Blog, Poppystamps IG, my own IG Page, and the Poppystamps Facebook Inspiration Page.  Yes, there's always plenty of fabulous inspiration out there to help you find creative ways to use the amazing dies found at Poppystamps.  I know that I'm sure having a lot of FUN creating with them.  I hope that I inspire you to stop by and take a peek....maybe to even treat yourself.
Thanks so much for visiting me here today.  It means more than you can possibly know.  And, as I work towards growing my IG Page, those visits become even more meaningful.  It's not easy growing my Following, but I'm getting there slowly but surely; and I appreciate you so much for Following my journey.  Happy crafting.

Blessings,
Karen
