Give Thanks w/Love My Tapes

Washi Tape is wonderful.  It's an often-overlooked crafting tool that can be SO useful in so many different ways.  Since becoming a DT Member at Love My Tapes, I've been finding lots of new and creative ways to use washi tape.  Love My Tapes has the best selection of washi tape EVER.  I just love it and have SO much fun getting creative with it.

This card started with a black cardstock base and a piece of gingham patterned paper from Carta Bella.  I did some machine stitching on that.  Next, I layered different papers with Woodgrain Washi Tape and used a Shiplap Die from The Greetery to cut the Woodgrain Washi wood slats to create another layer.  This Woodgrain Washi Tape is cool because you can make the wood look lighter or darker depending upon what color paper you lay it on/adhere it to.

Once I had my entire card base in place, I laid several pieces of the Woodgrain Washi Tape, as well as piece of Notebook Washi Tape, Alphabet Washi Tape, Vintage Washi Tape and Track Washi Tape on white cardstock.  I used a stamp set from Stamp Simply to stamp the leaves onto the washi tapes.  Then I used the coordinating die-cut to cut the leaves.  I used 3-D foam tape to raise them up a bit.  At the top right, I bundled some knotted jute.

On the matching envelope, I used more of the Track Washi Tape, Woodgrain Washi Tape and Alphabet Washi Tape to add some fun color, and I stamped the sentiment onto the Woodgrain Washi Tape slat.  I love using the wonderful Journalling Stickers and the washi tapes to create a cute matching envelope for my cards.  There are so many great Washi Tapes to see at Love My Tapes, and I hope you'll be sure to stop by for a look.  Thanks so much for visiting, and please stop by again soon.

Congratulations w/Love My Tapes Washi

Thanks so much for popping by again today, friends.  I'm sharing a cute little back-to-school card that I created using some FUN Washi Tapes and Stickers from Love My Tapes. OOOoooo...they're just SO much fun, and I never get tired of finding new and creative ways to use my Washi Tape.

I used white cardstock to create my card.  I covered it completely using torn strips of then 108 Track Washi Tape to create a unique "patterned paper" of sorts.  What a FUN background.  Next, I die-cut a yellow piece of cardstock onto which I stamped my sentiment (Congratulations).  I stamped this, along with the flag and stack of books using stamps from Paper Sweeties.

I used torn pieces of the 108 Track Washi Tape, some pieces of  91 Notebook Washi  and also Ruler Washi Tape and laid them, again, onto white cardstock.  Then I used a Paper Sweeties Small Tag Die to cut the small Washi Tape tags.  I ran some Solid Baker's Twine through the small tags.  I also added some of the adorable Lovely Bear Stickers to my tags and to the matching envelope.

Hello w/Love My Tapes

Hello!  As my card says....hello; and thanks for stopping by my blog today.  Every other Monday, including today, I make a blog post for the WONDERFUL Love My Tapes washi and sticker store.  Today I'll be sharing another fun and creative card using two sweet washi tapes from Love My Tapes.  It's always a bit of challenge for me to find new and creative ways to use washi tape.  I hope you'll give it a try.

I used basic black cardstock and basic white cardstock for this card.  I covered the white cardstock by laying diagonal lines of the colorful Washi Tape across the paper.  I cut that paper to fir inside the black cardstock base.  I used some Stamp Simply Fishtail Banner Dies and more of the same Washi Tape and Bujo White/Black Grid Washi to create the banners.

I wanted to take a close-up photo of the sentiment (which is a Poppy Stamps die-cut) to show you all how pretty those washi tapes are and how easily they allow you to create a background.  You don't always have to use patterned paper.  You can make your own interesting and unique backgrounds using your Washi Tape - just like I did on this card.

And finally, one last photo to show you how quick and easy it is to Washi Tape to decorate a matching envelope.  I simply added some of the different Washi Tapes that I used on my card, and added a couple cute Lovely Bear Ganja Stickers, and POOF!  A cute matching envelope.

What's Up Chickie? w/Love My Tapes

Welcome by today, everyone.  This is a FUN card I made for Love My Tapes.  I've been having so much fun finding new and creative ways to use Washi Tape.  For today's card, I decided to demonstrate how super easy it is to incorporate washi tape.  It's a great way to fill in extra space that just looks "too plain" on your card.  Washi Tape is flat so that it doesn't add any extra bulk to your cards and projects, but it still gives your cards some great texture, color and design.

I used black cardstock, yellow cardstock and white cardstock for my card base.  I completely inked the white cardstock using Tim Holtz Oxide Inks in Raspberry, Spun Sugar and Lemonade.  I ran one length of Black Grid Washi Tape down the right-hand side of my card underneath the inked piece, and then a few more small pieces of the Black Grid Washi Tape here and there.

The stamped sentiment (What's up chickie?) is from Paper Sweeties.  The cute flamingo die-cut is by Tim Holtz (thank you, Dottie).  A few sequins were the finishing touch, but the washi tape really POPS.  You will find so many great WASHI TAPE designs at Love My Tapes.  Be sure to check it out, and our Instagram page for more inspiration.

Make Today Beautiful w/Love My Tapes

Welcome by, crafty creative friends.  Thanks for stopping by today to take a peek at this FUN card I created for Love My Tapes.  I've been having SO much fun getting creative with washi tapes, and Love My Tapes has such an amazing selection of FUN designs, textures, colors and themes.  You're sure to find a perfect washi tape you love.

This card started with a black cardstock base.  Next, I took a piece of kraft cardstock and stamped and stencilled the left side with various stamps and inks.  I used strips of Postmark Washi Tape and Vintage Alphabet Tape to create the remainder of the background as well as the sentiment strip.

I kept everything very simple, and those cool washi tapes really are the STAR of this card.  Even the sentiment strip shows them off so nicely.  The stamped sentiment is from Paper Sweeties, and those cool old rusty metal flowers are from my super old stash of goodies.  Most of you know that I tend to make very feminine girly cards, so this is a bit different for me.  Love My Tapes and their awesome washi tapes help me to step outside my comfort zone with confidence.  They're just SO cute, you can't go wrong.

Love My Tapes Washi Card

Welcome by again, friends.  Thanks for stopping by my blog today as I share a FUN card using washi tape from the wonderful store Love My Tapes.  They carry SO many amazing and unique rolls of colorful washi tape with different designs and patterns.  It's a lot of fun to get creative with washi tape, and there are so many great ways to use it.  I sure enjoy creating with the washi tapes from Love My Tapes.

This card started with a piece of basic white cardstock that I pressure embossed using the Antique Linen Embossing Folder from Altenew.  Next, I used another piece of basic white cardstock and I laid washi tapes across my card at an angle to create my background.  As I laid each piece, I let the excess washi tape hang over the edges.  Once all the pieces were laid in place, I used my scissors to gently trim the excess washi tape from around the edges of my cardstock.

I used a set of heart-shaped dies from Papertrey Ink to die-cut the heart in the center of my washi tape covered paper.  In the empty space of the heart, I stamped the word LOVE using a stamp from Paper Sweeties.  I took that cut out heart piece (the cut negative piece) and I used it along with a piece of Black Grid Washi Tape to decorate my coordinating envelope.

The Love My Tapes washi tapes I used to create my FUN background include Gold Foil Rose Washi Tape, Watercolor Small Flower Washi, and various Checkered Washi Tape.  There are SO many super cool designs of washi tape as well as cute journalling stickers at Love My Tapes.  You'll have loads of FUN using these amazing washi tapes.  Happy crafting!

A Sweet Thanks w/Love My Tapes

Welcome by today, everyone.  I don't get much traffic for my posts lately, but I share them nonetheless in the hopes of inspiring someone who might happen by my blog.  Many people are using Instagram, Pinterest, etc. as opposed to blogs.  I just enjoy blogging and visiting blogs, I guess.  I do hope my posts and my art inspire you a bit today.  This card was created with primarily washi tapes from Love My Tapes that I used in different ways.

I used several paper scraps to create this card.  I covered different cardstock scraps with torn pieces of washi tape.  The entire floral base was created entirely of washi tape, and the layers were each cut using the Crimped Frames Dies from The Greetery.  I used that same Watercolor Small Flower Washi Tape on my background to cut the popsicle top, ice cream top, and banners.  I used the Woodgrain Washi Tape for the ice cream sandwiches cone and popsicle stick.

I just LOVE ice cream and popsicles, and using Washi Tape from Love My Tapes is such a FUN way to create these FUN Summer treats on my cards.  The ice cream sandwiches, popsicle, ice cream cone and sentiment dies are all from Poppy Stamps.  The banner dies are from Frantic Stamper and EVERYTHING was cut from these two FUN washi tapes.  Be sure to stop by Love My Tapes to treat yourself.

GATHER with Love My Tapes Washi

Are you ready for some more FUN with washi tape?  Well, if so, you're in the right place because today I'm sharing a cute card that I created using primarily washi tape; and of course, it's from Love My Tapes.  You always know you're going to be able to find the perfect washi tape at Love My Tapes.  They have such an awesome selection and at great prices.

I started with a black cardstock base and added a piece of white watercolor paper that I oxide inked with Green Grass Oxide Ink.  Next, I laid several torn strips of the Watermelon Washi Tape on a piece of white scrap paper.  I used a scalloped border die to cut the border strips from the Watermelon Washi Tape.

The sentiment stamp (GATHER) is from Paper Sweeties.  I made one more watermelon by placing some small strips of the Watermelon Washi Tape on a piece of white cardstock.  I cut a half circle to create the larger watermelon and I placed it on some 3-D tape to raise it up just a bit.  There are a few little prills on the watermelon for texture.

As You Like It Challenge Blog - Flora or Fauna - I believe what this means is either flora (plants, vegetables, growing things) or fauna (animals, wildlife, etc.).  I don't often use fauna (animals) on my cards, and I think it's because I'm not the best at Copic coloring.  I went with flora - the beautiful watermelon plant.

You Are So Sweet - Love My Tapes

It's Summer.  For me, that means it's a good time for ice cream.  Well, let's be honest....I eat ice cream all year long.  But for some reason, Summer seems to be the best time to over-indulge on it.  This card was created to celebrate Summer, ice cream, and washi tape from Love My Tapes.  I sure had FUN making it, and you can make lots of fun things with all the wonderful Washi Tape from Love My Tapes.

I started with a brown cardstock base that I cut using the Crimped Frames Die-Cuts from The Greetery.  Next, I laid down strips of the pretty Pink & Yellow Floral Washi Tape and created a second layer for my card base.  The third layer was created by laying down strips of Woodgrain Washi Tape and again using the Crimped Frame Dies to cut it.  The fourth layer is white watercolor paper cut and painted with oxide ink.

I used the Whittle Ice Cream Cone die set from Poppy Stamps to cut the ice cream cones.  The cones are cut from the Woodgrain Washi Tape, and the cones are cut from Pink & Yellow Floral Washi Tape and Blue Arrows Baseball Stripe Washi Tape.  I attached everything with Scor-Tape and then I stamped the sentiment (you are so sweet) using stamps from Paper Sweeties.  The finishing touch is the Tim Holtz miniature paperclip that I attached.  The wonderful Washi Tapes are the real focus of my card.  You can do all sorts of FUN things with Washi Tape, and Love My Tapes has the best selection and best prices on everything washi tape has to offer.

As you probably noticed in my first photo, I also created a matching envelope for this FUN card.  I cut the cone from cork and the ice cream using Pink & Yellow Floral Washi Tape.  I die-cut a circle using the Woodgrain Washi Tape.  It's always a bonus to have a matching envelope for your card.  Using Washi Tape from Love My Tapes makes that easy.  Thanks for stopping by today.  It's always a treat to have you visit me and leave a comment.  Have a blessed and creative week, everyone.

Love My Tapes - If You Believe

Hello, friends, and thanks for taking the time to stop by my blog.  Today I'm sharing a card that I created for Love My Tapes using just one of their (many) wonderful Washi Tapes.  Love My Tapes carries hundreds of different rolls of beautiful washi tapes including several sweet floral designs like the one I used on today's card which happens to be called Pink & White Floral Washi.

I started with basic white cardstock to layer my card base.  I used Tim Holtz Citron Oxide Ink to paint my backgrounds.  The tag was cut using the For You Sweet Cuts (tag die) from Paper Sweeties.  I used 3-D tape to raise each layer.  My stamped sentiment is from the Farmhouse Scriptural Sentiment Stamp Set from Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.  I also placed several pieces of the sweet Pink & Yellow Floral Washi Tape on the card and tag to create a fun backdrop for the sentiment.

I used more of the Pink & Yellow Floral Washi Tape to create the tags/banners on the tag by the Solid Black Baker's Twine.  I also ran some of it across my card and here and there on the card base.  Washi Tape makes such a FUN accent for cards and projects and Love My Tapes has SO many great styles of washi tape for every project you can imagine.  I hope you will stop by Love My Tapes and treat yourself to some new Washi Tape.  It's SO much fun.

EXPLORE - Love My Tapes

Hello, creative friends, and welcome by my blog.  Today I'm sharing a FUN and creative card and matching tag set that I created using LOTS of wonderful WASHI TAPE from Love My Tapes.  I hope you've checked out Love My Tapes by now; but if you haven't, I highly suggest clicking on this link and visiting Love My Tapes Washi Tape Store on Etsy.  SO much wonderful washi creative awaits.

This card and tag set have basic black cardstock bases.  The card also has a piece of cream cardstock onto which I stamped some images from SNSS Going Postal Stamp Set.  And then......LOTS of wonderful WASHI TAPE.  I laid pieces of the Track Washi Tape onto cardstock and cut banners with this wonderful design.  I did the same things by cutting banners from black cardstock lined with pieces of Thin Grey Grid Washi Tape.  I also added small torn pieces of both the Track Washi Tape and the Thin Grey Grid Washi Tape on the card.

The card has some little stickers added here and there, a wooden ticket (Eiffel Tower), a Tim Holtz rusty paperclip, some staples, and a small chalkboard sticker.  I really wanted the Track Washi Tape and the Thin Grey Grid Washi Tape to be the stars of this card, and they really are.  You can really see how much FUN it is to create with washi tape.

Well, with all that wonderful washi tape at my fingertips....I couldn't stop with just the card.  Obviously, I needed to make a matching tag to tuck inside this FUN card.  I used the same two washi tapes on my tag that I used on my card which are the the Track Washi Tape and the Thin Grey Grid Washi Tape.  I also incorporated some of the Ruler Washi Tape into my tag.

The 100% Authentic sentiment is a rub-on (from my super stash) and I rubbed it on a chalkboard sticker (also from my stash).  I tried to pull out some older unused items to demonstrate how you can use your washi tape creatively with things you already have in your supplies.  Just get creative, and let WASHI TAPE be a part of your creative journey.  Love My Tapes has SO many cool washi tape designs.  You're sure to find something you LOVE.  Happy crafting, everyone.

For an A+ Teacher w/Love My Tapes

Thanks for stopping by today, creative friends!  I'm always so grateful to have you visit me, and it's a blessing to hear your thoughts about my cards/projects.  I've been SO busy lately that I haven't had much time to blog hop and visit you all; but I'll get there again soon - I promise.  You all inspire me SO much and I hope these FUN projects inspire you to grab some WASHI TAPE and try something new.  Love My Tapes has hundreds of amazing rolls of WASHI TAPE to help you spark your creative mojo.

I used some of my much-coveted (and now vintage) products from October Afternoon.  As I opened these bins, I could literally smell the old October Afternoon Warehouse that I visited every year for the annual sale where I stocked up on these adorable products that I now hoard (somewhat).  I pieced together several different OA patterned papers and machine stitched them together to create my card base.

I used strips of Notepad Washi Tape and placed them on yellow cardstock to create a background (create your own patterned paper, I guess).  Using some flag die-cuts from Frantic Stamper, I cut the flags that you see on my card and I used lots of different OA stickers here and there (including on the flags cut with the Notepad Washi Tape.  The chipboard (date) piece and sticker underneath it are also from October Afternoon.

Next, I used more of the Notepad Washi Tape and created more of my "patterned paper" by cutting it into strips that I laid on yellow cardstock.  Once I had a big enough section of it, I used a PTI Memo Die to cut the matching tag I created.  This tag will be tucked inside the card before it's given to the fantastic teacher who receives it.

Once I'd cut this cute Notepad Washi Tape tag, I added several October Afternoon stickers.  I tied the top of the tag with Solid Black Baker's twine which was a great accent against the yellow Washi Tape background.  The smaller banner/flag is also cut using the Notepad Washi Tape.  I just LOVE finding fun and creative new ways to use the wonderful washi tape from Love My Tapes.  I hope you'll stop by Love My Tapes to browse the hundreds of different washi tape varieties as well as the amazing stickers they carry.  You just might be surprised at what catches your creative eye.

Wonderful Washi w/Love My Tapes

Have you stopped by Love My Tapes yet?  If you haven't, I do hope you will check out this wonderful Etsy shop.  It's filled with the most lovely washi tapes and journalling stickers that will give you endless creative options.  I've sure been having a lot of fun challenging myself to find new and creative ways to use washi.  I have two fun cards to share with you today using Love My Tapes washi.

This first card was a lot of fun.  I used a stamp set from Dare 2B Artzy that's called Textures Totally Tracy.  It's a set I don't remember to use nearly enough, but that's much the case with many of my stamps.  Once I'd created my messy background, I added some pieces of the pretty Pink & Yellow Floral Washi Tape and Ruler Washi Tape.  I added some Spun Sugar, Lilac, Raspberry and Storm Tim Holtz Oxide Inks. to "mess it up" even more.  (lol)

The sentiment (Hello) is a die-cut from Frantic Stamper.  I laid a few strips of Black Checker Washi Tape in a row on white cardstock and then die-cut my word (Hello) so that the black letting would stand out against the Floral Washi Tape.  You'll also see that I added some of the Ruler Washi Tape to my card.  That's another one I seen to be using quite a bit.

My second card was also a lot of fun to create.  I used another somewhat forgotten, but much loved, stamp set on this one.  It's from Kitchen Sink Stamps and it's called Letters From The Past.  I created my fun background, and added Amber, Hickory Smoke and Burlap Tim Holtz Oxide Inks to create the card base.

I used only one washi tape on this card - on the left-hand side of my card.  This one is called Postmark Washi and I thought it matched my theme well.  There are SO many great washi tapes at Love My Tapes and I hope you'll take a peek to see what grabs your attention.

I also used a pretty Journalling Sticker from Love My Tapes.  They have so many cute stickers for journalling, envelope art, and lots of other creative uses.  Just let your creativity run wild.  Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today and happy crafting.

We Go Together Like Peas & Carrots

Welcome by again, friends.  Thanks for visiting me today as I share a cute little card that I created using a FUN washi tape from Love My Tapes.  I've been having SO much fun creating with the beautiful washi tapes from Love My Tapes.  This card was a lot of fun to create, and I hope it will inspire you to grab your washi tapes and create something with them.

I started this card with a black cardstock base and I attached a piece of corrugated cardboard to give it some fun texture.  Next, I used the awesome Woodgrain Washi Tape to create my shiplap background.  I took the Woodgrain Washi Tape and placed several strips of it on a piece of white cardstock and then cut the slats using a cool die-cut from The Greetery.  Once I had those cool looking woodgrain slats, I placed them on my card to design a crate of sorts.

I also made a matching envelope that uses a piece of the Woodgrain Washi Tape and some adorable Bunny Stickers from Love My Tapes.  Their products are just SO super sweet and you can do so many fun things with washi tape.  I do encourage you to at least stop by and take a look, maybe treat yourself to a few new rolls of wonderful washi.

Next, I cut small circles and colored them green to create some peas.  The carrots are hand drawn and hand cut.  I placed them on the wood slats here and there.  I used some more of the Woodgrain Washi Tape to create one more shiplap slat where I stamped the sentiment "We Go Together Like" using the We Go Together Stamp Set from Paper Sweeties.

The finishing touch was a piece of Apple Green Baker's Twine that I wrapped around the sentiment strip.  Oh, friends....you will absolutely LOVE all the super sweet Washi Tapes you'll find at Love My Tapes.  They also carry lots of great journalling stickers that work well for Bible journalling, card-making, scrapbooking, and decorating envelopes (among other things).  Be sure to stop by Love My Tapes to check out all their WONDERFUL WASHI.  Thanks again for stopping by and have a great week.
